Collection: Tissue Culture (TC)
For plants, TC stands for Tissue Culture, it is a method of production by cloning from plant cellular tissue.
For you, this means access to dream plants at the best possible price, much lower than the price of a potted plant.
Some points to consider:
1- The plants are delivered in bags with gel. They can stay there for a few weeks without any problem.
2- To make them grow, you will need to plant them in a pot after keeping the bag at home for a little over a week after receiving it.
Potting a TC plant:
1- Carefully remove all the gel surrounding the roots
2- Prepare a solution for a hydrogen peroxide bath of a few hours, and if possible add rooting activator + biostimulant (available on Studio Plantes) for better results.
3- Pot the plant in a 6-8cm pot using a suitable substrate (semi-hydro or potting soil). If you choose potting soil, make sure it's not too rich in fertilizer.
4- Place the plant in a humid environment; a transparent storage box is perfect. Maintain the correct temperature and light; you don't need extreme light, and keep the temperature between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius.
5- After a few weeks, gradually acclimate your plant to a lower humidity level by ventilating it a little more each day.
Note: Like propagation by cuttings, plant propagation by cuttings is not 100% successful; start by practicing on the least expensive specimens to get the hang of it. Studio Plantes does not cover the risk of repotting.
