Anthurium Goliath x Blood Queen is a hybrid comprising the Goliath and Blood Queen varieties. The latter is a hybrid of (zara x michelle) x BVIT, BVIT being a black velvet Indonesian type of unclear origin and certainly an ecotype of papillilaminum.

The Goliath, for its part: formerly called Dark Panama because of its resemblance to the BVEP (Black Velvet Eastern Panama), which is an Indonesian anthurium ecotype of a dark papillilaminum.
